Morning Announcements - Monday, May 18, 2026

The EMS cafeteria will be serving a breaded chicken sandwich, or Daily Grab & Go, mixed vegetables, fruit choice, and milk for lunch today.

The weather report for today sunny to partly cloudy and high of 88.

Today’s trivia question is: How tall can a sunflower grow?

We will now announce the winners of today’s Calendar Raffle.
Today’s May 18 package A consists of $20 Cash and lottery tickets. The winner is Sam Meyer and this ticket was sold by Rebecca Leber
Today’s May 18 package B consists of a $25 Buckeye Pub Gift Gift Card. The winner of this prize is Fred Leimeister, and the ticket was sold by Grace Leimeister

Sunday’s May 17 package A consists of a $25 D’Vine Design Card and Wooden Décor sign. The winner of this prize is Nikki Smith and the ticket was sold by Gatlyn Walton.
Sunday’s May 17 package B consists of $25 Baker on the Square gift card. The winner of this prize is Peggy Smith and the ticket was sold by Parker Carmack.

Attention 6th & 7th grade girls trying out for cheerleading for next school year:
1. Your parents received a message through Final Forms.
2. You must have a current physical on file with the school.
3. Free physicals at middle school on May 20.
4. Pick up a cheer packet in the office and return the last page as soon as possible.

Calling all 8th graders:
Are you looking to be a leader for your Freshman Class? If so, you may pick up a petition from Mrs. Bishop. Positions include

A Secretary,
A Social Chairman,
and 4 Student Council Representatives.

The 7th and 8th band will have a combined rehearsal during second period today and tomorrow (weather permitting)

The trivia answer is that a sunflower can grow up to 12 feet tall and are known for their ability to track the sun’s movement.
