Any 8th grade boy or girl interested in going out for the high school golf teams please see Mr. Fischer in the fifth grade hallway to pick up a schedule today if you haven’t already.

The Student Council 8 th grade representatives are hosting the 8th Grade Dance to be held on Wednesday, June 3 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the cafeteria. We are asking that the girls wear a school appropriate dress, skirt, or nice slacks. Boy’s attire would be nice shorts, or pants with a polo shirt or button down shirt. Sandals, flip-flops or crocs are permitted at the dance.

Attention 8th Graders! Sound Dimension Show Choir Auditions are Tuesday May 26 and Wednesday, May 27. Auditions include a vocal and dance audition. All students should attend the dance audition Tuesday, May 26 from 6:00–7:00 PM in the auditorium and sign up in the music hallway for an individual vocal audition time. Whether you are an experienced performer or trying something new, show choir is a great opportunity to sing, dance, perform, travel, and make unforgettable memories. More information is available in the music hallway. Email Mrs. Wheeler with any questions.

On Tuesday May 26, there will be a short meeting from 2:30-2:45pm in the Middle School Cafeteria for any current 8th grade girls who are interested in playing high school girls soccer next school year.  There will also be a parents meeting on Thursday May 28 starting at 6:15pm in the High School Library for parents of future or current high school girls soccer players.  Coach Fry will be at both meetings to go over important information and answer any questions there may be.

The High School Girls Soccer Program will also be hosting a Girls Youth Soccer Camp this summer for girls who are entering grades 2-8 for the 2026-2027 school year. The camp will run Tuesday July 28th through Thursday July 30th from 5:30-7:30pm each night.  The camp will be led by the high school coaching staff and players. Registration Fee is $40 and includes a t-shirt. The registration form and information have been sent to all eligible students and their parents via Final Forms.

The trivia answer is that the Memorial Day was officially declared a federal holiday in 1971.

We would like to close with this quote Barack Obama: “Our nation owes a debt to its fallen heroes that we can never fully repay.”

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.
