Morning Announcements - Wednesday, March 11, 2026
The cafeteria will be serving a toasted cheese sandwich, or Daily Grab & Go, tomato soup, carrots and dip, fruit choice and milk for lunch today.
The weather report for today is steady rains with a high of 68.
Today’s trivia question is: How much did the world’s largest grilled cheese sandwich weigh?
7th graders, don’t forget to bring in your donations for the fundraising calendar. So far we have only 4 prizes. We really need at least 31 prizes one for every day in May. Tomorrow, March 12, Mrs. Bishop will be in the library collecting donations from 7:00 to 8:30am or you may drop them off to the main office. If you have any questions, see Mr. LaCivita or Mrs. Bishop.
Penny Wars for the 6th, 7th & 8th graders starts tomorrow and runs through March 18. This year we have revised the rules on Penny Wars.
You will want to put pennies, nickels and dimes into your own grade’s jug. They will add to your total. Plus, pennies will count as 2 cents each. Now in the other grade’s jug you want to put in quarters or one dollar bills. They will subtract from the total. Remember the grade that has the largest amount collected will be rewarded to a make your own sundae event.
It’s official the winners of the 2025-26 Yearbook Cover Contest are Keegan Stover in 6th grade and Megan Thompson in 8th grade. Mrs. Bishop thanks every student who submitted a cover design and hopefully they will submit another one next year.
Congratulations to our February Citizens of the Month. They are Marshall Fall and Maci Ritz in 4th grade. In 5th grade we have Ella Kinney and Jacob Rosekelly. Lily Hedges and Tristan Rogers for the 6 th grade. Myles Nickle and Karrigan Shaffoe in 7th grade and Liam Butler and Kira Quillen in the 8th grade. Those students should report to the library right after these announcements to meet Mrs. Bishop for pictures.
The trivia answer is that the world’s largest grilled cheese sandwich weighed over 3000 pounds.
We would like to close with this quote from Helen Keller: “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.”
