December HS Student of the Month: Navea Yamanouchi

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Navea Yamanouchi is the December Student of the Month at Edison High School.   

Navea has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Navea’s school activities:  Drama Club (Council President, stage manager, Best-Sophomore award recipient, social media chairperson); senior class President; National Honor Society Vice-President; Just Write participant (placed 13th overall at regionals and was a member of the state championship team); Band Council Vice-President and Co-President; Academic Challenge team; Speech & Debate (2-time state participant, Vice-President); Teen Leadership Corps; basketball team member and also manager; golf; and is employed at the Freight House as a line cook. 

Navea will be interning at a law firm before heading to New York University College of Arts and Science in the fall.   She will be majoring in Politics with a minor in Psychology all on the Pre-Law track.  Navea is the daughter of Josianne Yamanouchi of Milan, Ohio and Grant Yamanouchi of Honolulu, Hawaii.
