Tryouts: Fall 2025
For grades 6-8 only, tryouts and selection are required for participation in EMS Robotics Club this year due to high demand. Tryouts will be held from 7:15-7:45 a.m. Monday, September 15 through Wednesday, September 17. Students only need to come one day and may try out on whichever day they choose.
More information about the tryout and how to prepare can be found in the tryout information handout linked in the documents section of this page. It is also posted on the bulletin board outside of Ms. Wood's classroom and was sent via Final Forms. Please review the attendance expectations.
Important Dates
September 19, 2025
Students selected for the robotics team will be notified and given paperwork no later than Friday, September 19. The paperwork is also linked on this site if your student loses it.
September 23
Practices begin September 23. They will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15-7:45 a.m., unless otherwise noted on the club calendar. The calendar is linked in the documents section, posted on Ms. Wood's bulletin board, and available on the Robotics Google Classroom.
September 30 & October 2
There will be an additional optional meeting after school until 4:15 p.m. on these days. This meeting will not count against attendance and is intended to give students a longer block of time to make progress building their robots. Students will need to arrange transportation home if they usually take the bus and wish to attend.
October 1
Students selected to participate after tryouts need to turn in their participation forms by this date.
